Daddy continued to lead daily devotion every night. We’ve been using materials from ODB, and a prayer together. Some wk ends when we had more time, we encouraged the children to pray too. It is always heartening to hear what’s on their minds in those prayers.
Slight change to daddy’s work routine. He humbly accepted the change though it was not his preferred choice. Daddy has always shown us great examples of contentment for things, materials or not, and to do our best with whatever we’ve got. He continues to provide sufficiently, plans for all our holidays, chose some great bnb, and brings us nice places to eat. He continues to teach the kids Math and encourage them to be diligent and try their best in all they do.
Thankful that boy adjusted well to Sec sch life first yr in a boys sch. He enjoys himself, made some new friends and scouts is definitely a highlight for him for the yr. He had fun during job week, and came in 3rd place in his contribution, got a trophy and a nice back pack as his reward. He also had a yr end stay in camp. It was 4 days with no contact with him at all, we suffered a bit of parent anxiety and prayed for his safety and protection. He couldn’t stop telling us what he did during the 4 days of camp, and it was so so good to hear him chat non stop when we picked him up. He cooked, pitched a tent and slept in it, did dragon boating, night cycling and watched horror movie ! Oh well, he was wise enough not to watch it, it was god- given common sense. He’s still adjusting to a very different style of learning at the Sec sch level, more independent learning and reading on his own , he continues with Chinese tuition , had Swimming lessons for a yr, and decided to stop in nov. he went for a couple of competitions to record his timing, received a few badges and gained speed with the trainings, it is a great pity he wants to stop, but we respect his decision.
Girl had steady and good academic achievement this yr, scored merit for both piano and ballet. She’s happy with her progress. She’s been a really good help with my class at cc. She’s also a responsible and helpful bigger Sister towards my cousin’s girls who stay over twice a yr, showering and sharing her room and LEGO with them. I think she enjoys their companion though she didn’t say much about it. I’m Glad she has occasional sisters to play with. I hope she does her devotion more regularly and begins to see the need of God in her life, to be used by God to do his work. Only God can do the convicting work in her life, I trust in his perfect timing, just seek the lord and pray.
