Church Camp June 6-10, 2024 Sunway Pyramid

Church camp theme "On the Go for Jesus" Same old message, same old challenge but possibly new direction and decision. This church camp is about Divine appointments. Salvation call to reach out. I thought of my dad. Second day morning, during BS, same group as Siew Eng, previously served in the same preschool team, shared about how God intervened at just the right time to bring her mum to Christ. Once again, showed me the ways of God are higher than my own, and how his timing is sure and perfect. Another thing weighing in my heart is my son's upcoming A levels. Sat with another old face at lunch, she reminded me to 'give him time' to think and explore. Nothing is concrete clear. I didn't know what I wanted to do at aged 18! I personally saw how God led me into teaching out in the mission field at aged 21. God will place the right people along his path to point out to him where he will lead and bless his path. There really isn't wrong decision when it comes to studying and career paths because there are just so many choices. Pastor Chris shared he was an accounting undergrad, but worked as a journalist, another detour, and finally, became a pastor, redirected to his call. What we pray is a heart directed towards God, and seek his kingdom and his will, he will show, step by step. If God had showed me any earlier, I would have fallen off my chair, because I was never a good student. God is divine, he is all-knowing. Jesus says "I am the way" he is not a sign post, he is THE way. Princess highway / Jesus highway Stay on the straight path. Do not let our doubts cause our detours. Real joy comes from following Jesus all the way. Keep doing what we're doing. Keep showing and sharing Christ, love the Lord and serve him. Our sins there are many but his mercy is more. Prior to church camp, met up with old friends. Prayed for our children. The message that Jesus says ' I am the resurrection and the life' came up in my reading a book and from a friend who prayed for me. Jesus is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, he is behind us, he goes before us and is always with us. He does not leave us as ophans but watches and protects us like a good shepherd. His sheep knows his voice. How exciting it is to hear our shepherd's voice calls for us. We want to be like the sheep of his pasture, who obediently respond to his call and follow him wholeheartedly.
