I don't usually blog about LC but before he approaches 40, i'd better. We always remember what we did for the kids' bday and even the mommie's, but we often forget the daddy's, so this yr, I made a deliberate effort to plan for something quite memorable.
It started over the wk end when I signed the father and son up for 'Men's fishing day' with ARPC men fellowship. They went fishing at Pasir ris, yes, with real bait and hooks, and caught 3 fished, which they threw them back to the waters.
The next day was sunday, we participated in a family feud at sengkang riverside park, organised by Pastor Adrin. We had a great game of shooting water guns, and protecting the king of our household. It was boy and girl's first time using the water guns, and they had a blast. Wet and drench.
Cone Tuesday, his actualy day. It was a planned surprise. We had lunch at crepe at Raffles city, then head on the east coast park for a skating session. Boy had his first time in skates, he did pretty well. Rather fearless. Well done.
Then, dinner by the sea, at SAF yacht club. We saw sailing boats, boats arriving and sailing away ... sunset, curry fish head and some nice ch dishes. Even an outdoor slide and swing for the kids after dinner.
Doing some thing that we don't usually do on daddy's bday was wonderful. Oh, i also had a little treat, i booked a bike, a pink one, to be delivered the following sun. Yeah :)
