Bali Dec 2014

We waited 6 months for another holiday since the last Hong kong trip in June. This was the monsoon season, and we expected rainy days and we did have rain every single day in Bali. We stayed at a self contained villa, with a pool, and 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and tv area. The place looked comfortable to stay for a month. We also engaged a driver to drive us around everyday at US50 a day. In Bali, there are many places to eat and see. We visited a padi field, a volcano and a temple at a cliff. The views were quite spectacular but to each destination, we had to travel in the car for more than an hour long, and the journey made me really tired. I prefered days when we went to the beach to spend an afternoon and the pool. Food was nothing to rave about. My dear boy ate spaghetti bolognese almost every single day. The fried chicken was dried out, and I didn't like their western dishes at all. Shopping was not great. But walking along the streets and markets was cool, especially after the rain. Well, I was glad kids had a nice time playing and swimming at the pools, playing UNO card games and hide and seek at te villa. I was quite glad to return home.
