I’m 46 years old

I really wanted to do a stabd up paddle at the reservoir, lc booked a session for the fanily, but on that fateful sat morning, i wasnt feeling well, girl had to go to school and we just cancelled it. i have done it before with lc at sentosa, and it was fun so i thought it would be nice for the fanily to do the sport together. Another time then. On the wk end before, lc and I had a staycation at Changi. It's a golf friendly hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast spread was splendid. There wasn't much to do as it was far east, so we just went shopping and dinner at a nearby Changi city point mall.Staycation is not much fun except for staying in a hotel, no housework, and sleep in aircom room all night. Frankly, I much prefer to sleep on my comfortable bed and cosy house. On my birthday, lc got to work half day. I spent the morning home with the kids, then drove us to taka to have lunch at the foodcourt. We booked a baking session for the four of us at ABC cooking studio. It was crowded! There are so manu people who love to learn to various dishes and breads and cakes, even men and kids. We had a trainer who supervised us in making a chocolate cake, crusty top and soft on the inside. The prep work was done in 30 mins, but we waited for the cake to finish baking about 40mins. The most challenging part was seperating the egg yolk from the white. I think we all did great, esp papa who never cooked, less, bake, the kids have had cooking classes at school, so it was not exactly an eye opener. After that we sat at a cafe Q classified for a pot of tea, then cos the kids really wanted to eat the chocolate cake we baked, we headed to the food court again, grabbed 4 spoons and dug in to the cake. It was yummy. We finished in 5mims flat. Girl especially loved it. Seeing that gobble up food has always delighted me. The kids went to Kino while lc and I went shopping for a kate spade bag. But I didnt see any thing I like, I bought a Rabeco one instead. It was 40 percent off! @ $198. I thought it was a pretty good buy, a lime greenish yellow one, small and cute. Dinner at Publico along clark quay. Initially, pa booked a really expensive one on the 24th storey, but I had good memories of good food here so I suggested and there we went. The four cheese pizza was a little disappointing but the duck and bolo pasta were satisfying. We finished dinner at 630pm, reallt early, and headed home, bathed and rested, had a round of reading cards to me, our tradition of writing cards to each other on our special days. We are such forgetful people that if we dont write it down somewhere, we forget too easily. So here I am blogging and photos to remind us of what we had. Now, looking forward to our holiday down under.
